The pilot’s named cast just grew

The latest update adds three more performers to the upcoming pilot, bringing the currently announced group to five. Character details have not been disclosed for any of the cast members named so far.

Spaceship Earth is set up as a teen-led story. The pilot follows a group of teenagers from Earth’s past and future who have to work together against a mysterious threat after an effort to stop a global catastrophe goes wrong.

That means the casting change takes effect with the pilot itself, where Tohey, Ta’imua and O’Donahue will appear alongside Laga’aia and Phillippe.

Who the new additions are

Tohey is a New York City-based performer who is making her acting debut with the pilot. Professionally known as Maeve in music, she has built an international following and is preparing to release her first project.

Ta’imua, who is based in Hawaii, recently appeared in Jane Austen’s Period Drama, a short film described as a 2026 Oscar nominee. Earlier credits include Truth Be Told and Doctor Odyssey.

O’Donahue is also set to appear in A Great Depression next year and in the thriller Bullies Anonymous.

Spaceship Earth takes its name and inspiration from the EPCOT attraction of the same name, giving Disney parks fans a clearer sense of the kind of world this Disney+ project is drawing from as its cast continues to take shape.
