When we think of weird baby names, celebrities are the first people that come to mind. Elon Musk and his X Æ A-12, Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter Apple, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’s daughter Suri, etc.
But giving weird names to their babies is not limited only to the stinking rich. No, regular people do it too.
Is it because they want to make their kids stand out from the crowd? Well, this is a really stupid way to do it, and many of these parents should be locked away for doing that to their kids.
It is pure abuse, no doubt about it. We have to say that the names often turn out to be dumb totally unintentionally.
Or should we say because of a lack of intelligence? How else would you describe people with the last name Banger who name their child Baby?
Or the Metheny family calling their child Crystal… Those are accidents just waiting to happen. They make you wonder what the parents were thinking.

Parents can name their kids whatever they want. Legislation is pretty loose. Names forbidden by law include King, Queen, Jesus Christ, III, Santa Claus, Majesty, Misteri Nigger, Adolf Hitler, Messiah, @, 1069, etc.
Also, names shouldn’t have numbers in them. But the inability to use numbers doesn’t seem to stop people from coming up with the most ridiculous names. Maybe those people would be better off with names like C3PO or R2D2…
