Disney Believe Revealed: Encanto Stage Show Leads a Ship Built Around Moana, Frozen and Zootopia
Disney has unveiled Disney Believe with an Encanto stage show, Moana spaces, new dining and 2027 sailings from Fort Lauderdale.
Disney has finally filled in the picture of what guests will actually find aboard Disney Believe, and the biggest surprise is a first stage adaptation of Encanto. The new ship is also taking shape as a floating mix of Moana, Frozen, Zootopia, Snow White and more, with sailings set to begin from South Florida in 2027.
What Disney just confirmed about Disney Believe
Disney says Disney Believe will begin its maiden voyage on December 18, 2027, sailing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The ship is scheduled to offer four night and five night itineraries to The Bahamas and the Caribbean, and general bookings are set to open on October 19, 2026.
The reveal also put a clearer identity around the ship. Disney framed Believe around curiosity and discovery, with stories centered on characters who trust themselves, their dreams and the idea of a better tomorrow. That broad theme now has a much more specific face, because Disney says the entertainment lineup will include the first stage adaptation of Encanto.
This was the fullest look yet at the ship. Disney had already unveiled the vessel's name in March. A D23 presentation in August offered an early look at the Moana inspired Grand Hall, a Tinker Bell figure on the bow and Woody and Buzz on the stern. Construction has also progressed, with the first gigablock floating out of the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, in September.

The public spaces are turning the ship into a walk through Disney stories
At the center of the design is the Grand Hall, which Disney describes as a meeting point between sky and sea. The space draws from Moana and the Pacific Islands setting of the film. Disney says the carpet uses ocean tones, constellations appear across the ceiling, and the railings borrow their patterning from Moana's skirt. A chandelier modeled on the movement of the ocean includes the heart of Te Fiti, and a bronze statue of Moana, Pua and Heihei will also be part of the space.
Several lounges branch that idea into very different corners of the Disney library. Wishing Well is a Snow White themed venue inspired by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, with three separate settings. Its bar takes cues from a gothic castle and includes stained glass styled after the castle's windows. The seating area is designed as a castle courtyard under white blossoms and red apples, while the performance area uses hand carved wood details that reference the Seven Dwarfs' cottage.
Sea Notes heads in a different direction, taking inspiration from Ariel's grotto in The Little Mermaid. Disney says the piano lounge mixes contemporary design with the film's more whimsical visuals, with a pearlescent piano at the center as one of Ariel's forgotten treasures. Skygazers, meanwhile, is an observatory themed pub styled like an astronomer's laboratory, complete with bookshelves, instruments and celestial maps. Disney says hidden props in the room point to classic Disney stories in which characters wished upon stars.
Dining and entertainment are mixing new concepts with returning favorites
One of the more interesting new spaces is Gazelle, an entertainment hub based on the busy city from the Zootopia films. During the day it is meant for family activities, and after sunset it switches to adults only entertainment. Disney also says the space will host a new family show featuring Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. Guests will help the pair solve a case, marking the first time the characters have joined Disney Cruise Line in this way.
On the dining side, Oaken's Table: A Frozen Family Feast is being introduced as a new restaurant tied to an untold chapter in the Frozen story. Disney says guests will visit Oaken and his cousins in a Scandinavian Summerhaus courtyard deep in a forest. The meal will include reworked songs from the Frozen soundtracks performed by Oaken's family, with Anna and Kristoff also appearing.
Sweet and coffee stops are getting fresh overlays too. Inside Out: Joyful Sweets is returning with new sculptural additions drawn from Inside Out 2, including Anxiety, Envy and the Sense of Self structure alongside Joy and Sadness. The updated menu is inspired by the Emotions' headquarters and will offer nearly 20 flavors of gelato and ice cream, daily handcrafted gelato specials and other signature sweets. For drinks, Disney is adding Big Hero Sips, inspired by San Fransokyo from Big Hero 6, and Café Kakamora, themed to the coconut creatures from Moana. Both will serve coffee, tea and specialty beverages.
Some familiar cruise line staples are coming back as well. Disney says 1923, Worlds of Marvel and the Haunted Mansion Parlor will all return, with the Haunted Mansion Parlor getting a new lineup of themed drinks.

The rooms are story driven, but Disney is still selling family practicality
The stateroom plan leans hard into character art without dropping the features Disney typically emphasizes for family travel. Disney says the rooms will use new papercut style artwork inspired by stories including Moana, Coco and Inside Out. Concierge accommodations are themed to Neverland from Peter Pan, while several special oceanview rooms above the bridge will carry a Toy Story look.
Beyond the theming, Disney says the cabins are being built around storage and flexibility. Most will include the line's split bath setup, roomy closets and raised bed frames with extra space underneath. Most rooms also come with an ocean view, and Disney says 70 percent of the ship's staterooms will include a verandah. For larger groups, the ship will have more than 450 connecting doors.
Put together, the newly announced details make Disney Believe look less like a ship with a single franchise overlay and more like a curated tour through many corners of Disney storytelling. The big draw may be Encanto's first stage adaptation, but the full picture is broader than that, stretching from Moana in the atrium to Frozen at dinner and Zootopia in one of the ship's main entertainment spaces.
