All of this is currently changing as the CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, who is the driving force behind Facebook, declared that the organization is rebranding itself to Meta. Goodness, and you better believe how much social critique it has generated on the internet in meme form.
According to Dr. Ramani Durvasula, a clinical psychologist, "Rebranding can often be a strategic move to reshape public perception, especially for a company facing scrutiny." Zuckerberg noted that Facebook has two significant segments: one is focused on its group of applications, and the other is centered on work on platforms coming in the future. So, in order to encompass all that Facebook does, which includes its social media platforms, it presented a new rebranded name known as Meta.
