The fantastic bonds that can be built between women who love and support one another unconditionally.
Historically, the support women provide to one another hasn't been celebrated enough or given the attention it deserves. Female characters in Hollywood are often portrayed as disloyal, flighty, and catty friends who seem to care more about attracting a man than strengthening their bonds with other women.
At least, that is the narrative we've been led to believe. However, a good number of television programs and films showcase genuine celebrations of female friendships and the incredible bonds that can be formed between women who love and support each other unconditionally.
Some of these films are hilarious comedies, while others are poignant dramas, but they all offer beautiful depictions of female companionship. Rather than focusing on films and series that undermine the power of the term "girlfriend," we want to highlight those that provide us with much-needed friendship goals.
After all, it is often women who offer the most empathetic and intuitive forms of friendship and support, and that is something we could all benefit from in greater abundance.
