Redditor's Story Inspires 25 Others To Share How They Were Fired Just Before Their Employee Bonuses
Amazon is famous for making life tough for its workers.
Amazon stories have a way of spreading fast, especially when workers feel like promises were made and then pulled back at the last minute. In this case, a Reddit post about a brother being fired just before an expected bonus struck a nerve, and the comments quickly filled with similar stories from people who felt blindsided by their employers.
The original post sparked a wave of reactions about seasonal work, hiring bonuses, and companies that seem to change the rules when money is on the line. What followed was a long thread of frustration, disbelief, and a lot of people comparing notes on the same kind of treatment.
Here’s how the conversation unfolded.

It’s no surprise that individuals are getting tired of the upsetting and ridiculous measures that some of these organizations take just to save money. However, consistency and genuineness seem to be the things these firms truly lack.
And, as evidenced by the post thread, signing bonuses can sometimes look great only on paper because organizations can devise devious schemes to make their employees' lives more difficult.
Nobody wants a bonus that disappears with the job.
