Tokyo DisneySea Finally Reveals Indiana Jones Reopening Date, Plus a 50 Guest Preview
Indiana Jones Adventure at Tokyo DisneySea reopens Nov. 30, 2026. A preview drawing for 50 guests opens Oct. 1 and runs through Oct. 15.
One of Tokyo DisneySea’s signature attractions is finally coming back into view. Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull now has a public reopening date, and a very small group of guests will get a chance to experience it first.
The return date is now set
Tokyo Disney Resort says Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull will reopen at Tokyo DisneySea on November 30, 2026.
The attraction has been closed since August 18, 2025. The closure came with little explanation, and the resort did not give fans a reopening date for months. That made the ride’s absence especially noticeable at a park where it stands among the major draws, alongside Journey to the Center of the Earth, Tower of Terror, Soaring: Fantastic Flight, and Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey.
For guests planning a Tokyo DisneySea visit, the practical change is simple: the Indiana Jones ride is scheduled to be available again starting November 30. After such a long stretch off the lineup, that date gives travelers something concrete to plan around.
A small preview comes first, and Indy fans have more to watch beyond Tokyo
Before the ride reopens to everyone, Tokyo Disney Resort is also holding a preview event. Applications will be accepted from October 1 through October 15, 2026. Only 25 groups will be chosen, for a total of 50 guests.
Those selected will get an early ride opportunity, limited time drinks, a group photo session, and additional offerings. The resort shared the preview details on its Instagram page.
The news matters beyond Japan, too, because Indiana Jones remains an active part of Disney’s parks lineup. In Florida, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is replacing the former DinoLand U.S.A. with Tropical Americas, a new land inspired by the cultures, wildlife, and landscapes of Central and South America. DINOSAUR has already closed there to make way for Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, which is under construction. Disney first announced that project at D23 in 2024 and later shared more story details at this year’s Expo.
That Florida expansion is also set to include an Encanto themed area with the Madrigal family’s Casita, plus new dining and shopping locations. The Indiana Jones attraction there is currently expected to open in 2027. When it does, it will join Indiana Jones rides at Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea, and Disneyland Paris.
