GTA 6 fans got more than new footage as Rockstar locked in the date that mattered most
Rockstar's new GTA 6 trailer confirms the game is still set for 19 November, with pre-orders open on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
After more than a year without a fresh official look, Rockstar Games has dropped another GTA 6 trailer, this time alongside Netflix. The footage gives fans plenty to pick apart, but the biggest update is simpler: the game is still on track for 19 November, and pre-orders are now available ahead of launch.

Rockstar’s third and final trailer did more than show off Grand Theft Auto 6 again. It also reaffirmed that the game is sticking to its 19 November release date after earlier delay worries.
Players can now pre-order the game before launch. Rockstar is offering a standard edition priced at $79.99, alongside a $100 Ultimate Edition that includes exclusive cosmetics and shops. Despite the higher cost, the more expensive version is reportedly where most buyers are going.
The game is currently set for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. A PC version has not been announced.
Why this trailer is getting picked apart frame by frame
The new footage gives fans their clearest official look yet at Leonida and at Jason and Lucia, the couple at the centre of the story. GTA 6 is the first Grand Theft Auto game in more than a decade, and Rockstar has framed it around two lovers who turn to crime.
Earlier trailers showed Jason collecting Lucia from prison, but it is still not clear whether the story is focused only on what happens after that point. What is clear is that, although Vice City is heavily tied to the 1980s in many people’s minds, this version of GTA is set in modern times.
The trailer is also a gift for the people who analyse every shot for clues. Fans who map out Rockstar worlds before release now have more material to work with, and the game’s relationship mechanics add another detail to watch.
It lands after a difficult stretch around the game. There were protests outside Rockstar’s Edinburgh office late last year over the firing of 30 employees. Former GTA 6 workers said they wanted better conditions around crunch, pay and working arrangements. Rockstar has also been hit by data breaches, including one that exposed a rough, unfinished version of GTA 6.
More recent unauthorised clips showed nudity, dense NPC crowds, the Wanted system and the day and night cycle. The group behind those August leaks also used the attention to promote a crypto coin and urged fans to protest outside Rockstar offices.
