Disney gives High Potential one of TV’s biggest launch pads with a post Super Bowl return

ABC and Disney+ will launch High Potential season 3 right after Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027.

High Potential is getting one of the most watched lead-ins on television. ABC and Disney+ are set to debut the crime drama’s third season immediately after Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027.

That is a major scheduling move for the Kaitlin Olson series, which first arrived on ABC in September 2024 and built strong reviews and ratings. For viewers, the change means the next season will not just return to ABC, but will open in the premium slot that follows the Super Bowl, a launch window long considered one of the most valuable on TV.

Olson leads the show as Morgan, a single mother working as a police station custodian whose life changes when Detective Karadec, played by Sunjata, recognizes her talent for solving crimes. The first two seasons are already available on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for anyone catching up before the season three premiere.

The announcement adds another Disney tie to Super Bowl LXI. ESPN is preparing to carry its first Super Bowl, with the game set for SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Disney has also been promoting other fan-facing elements around the event, including Mickey and Minnie Mouse costumes that attendees will see in February.

For High Potential fans, the headline is simple: season three now has a post Super Bowl debut on ABC and Disney+, with the premiere locked for February 14, 2027.
