Artist Combines Famous Horror Characters and Classic Disney Toons to Create Spooky Fan Art

Disney nostalgia and horror usually live on opposite ends of the shelf, but artist Mike Chiechi found a way to make them collide in the most unsettling way possible. His black-and-white fan art takes classic cartoon characters and drops them into scenes that feel both playful and creepy at the same time.
Chiechi, also known as Frank's Kid, is a New York illustrator who grew up loving Disney, horror movies, and drawing. That mix gave him a strange but fitting idea, reimagining Mickey, Minnie, and other familiar faces alongside icons like Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees.
The result is a spooky little crossover that makes old cartoons look even darker than you remember.

When asked about how he got the idea for his fan art, Chiechi said:
"Well, I just remember watching the old Disney cartoons when I was a kid and finding them to be pretty spooky, even when it was completely unintentional! Now, as an animator and a lover of horror, I figured it was only natural to mix them with my favorite horror icons! To me, they really don’t seem THAT out of place next to Mickey and Minnie!"
