Redditor Called Cruel For Telling Her 16-Y.O Friend That She Is Not Financially Stable And Shouldn't Have A Baby

"Anyone can have kids but in this time and society if u want to raise a child with proper care the parents needs to have money."

Taking care of a baby these days is getting more and more expensive. The rising costs make many reconsider starting a family until they are more financially stable.

It's cruel to bring a child into the world and not have the means to take care of it properly. Besides the financial aspect, parents must be mature enough to raise and care for a baby properly.

Lately, many young parents have been making TikTok videos about their lives and glamourizing having a baby as a teenager. Many crucial aspects are not included in the video, and that makes teenagers think it's an easy job that anyone can do.

A Redditor who goes by the username u/No-Atmosphere8804 made a post on the r/AmItheButtface subReddit where she explained how she told her friend she should not have a baby since neither she nor her boyfriend is financially stable. The friend called the user cruel for saying that, which made her doubt her actions.

Op decided to consult with the Reddit community and get different perspectives after her friend's opposing reaction to what she had to say. The Reddit community had a lot of different responses to the user's post; scroll down to check out the full Reddit post and scroll a little further to read the comments from the original post.

Having a baby as a 16-year-old, especially during this difficult period, is not a responsible decision. If you enjoyed reading this, make sure to check out similar content on our platform.

Refusing to share an inheritance may reflect personal boundaries or past family conflict. It's not always selfish - sometimes, it's about self-respect.
