This Is Why You Should Never Turn To Twitter For Help Naming Your Baby

Epic troll? Fake? You decide.

Some baby names are sweet, some are timeless, and some end up becoming an internet joke before the birth certificate is even dry. That is exactly what happened here, when a simple announcement about a newborn turned into a full-blown social media pile-on.

In this story, Greg and Hila are at the center of the chaos after people latched onto the name they reportedly gave their son, Jack Ingoff. Once Twitter got involved, the reactions came fast, the screenshots got messy, and the whole thing spiraled into a debate over what was real and what was just trolling.

By the end, the only thing more confusing than the name was the internet's reaction to it.

This poor fellow named Greg Ingof had an exchange with a Twitter troll, who offered a name suggestion that he fancied would pair nicely with the family's surname, Ingof. According to Dr. Jane Nelsen, a parenting expert, "Choosing a name is a significant decision that can impact a child's identity and self-esteem." She emphasizes the importance of thoughtful consideration in naming, rather than relying on fleeting opinions from social media.

Apparently, Greg and his wife went with the name, and "Endeylol" lost it at the announcement.

This is similar to the wife fighting with her husband over baby names and refusing to compromise.

People responded in reasonable disbelief and asserted that "Endeylol" had ruined Jack's life, if it was real.

"Endeylol" shared another update, denying that he could have ruined anyone's life in the name of Internet points.

However, people figured out that the second post with the screenshot was the only fake post shared and that there was reason to believe Greg and Hila really did name their child Jack Ingoff.

That is when the joke really landed.

If you haven't put two and two together by now, say the name Jack Ingoff a few times in your head; say it a little faster if you need to. Say it out loud if you need to! You'll definitely hear it.

It sounds an awful lot like a euphemism for masturbation, doesn't it? It does.

Well, best of luck to 'ol Jacky-Boy, and a tip of the hat to Endeylol, who unsurprisingly has a growing Twitter fanbase.
