Justin Timberlake Was Diagnosed With A Condition Rising Among Celebrities And Here's His Health Update
Timberlake characterized the disease as "relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically"
After disclosing a struggle with a bacterial infection that is prevalent among celebrities, Justin Timberlake is reportedly "prioritizing his health." The 44-year-old concluded his Forget Tomorrow World Tour on July 30 with a spectacular performance in Istanbul, Turkey.
A few days later, he disclosed that he had been dealing with a sickness behind the scenes, which has also caused problems for celebrities including Bella Hadid, Kelly Osbourne, and Justin Bieber. Timberlake stated in a statement that he wanted to "shed some light" on the challenges he had faced "behind the scenes" rather than have his followers "feel bad" for him.
He clarified that he had to decide whether to terminate the tour early or continue and "figure it out" after contracting an insect-borne disease. He said that he would be onstage "in a massive amount of nerve pain, or just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness" during the peak of the infection.
The father of two revealed that he had been battling some health issues, only to be diagnosed, and it was Lyme disease. A deer tick bite can infect you with Lyme disease, commonly known as borreliosis.
The infection is caused by a bacterium known as Borrelia burgdorferi. Lyme disease is the most prevalent infectious disease spread by ticks in the United States.

If detected early enough, it is easy to treat. Timberlake said that he was "shocked" upon receiving his diagnosis, which he characterized as "relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically."

According to a recent health update, the "SexyBack" star is "doing okay," a source informed People. Actress Jessica Biel, his wife, is "supportive" of his recuperation, they continued.
"Justin seems to be doing okay. He's prioritising his health after the gruelling tour and Lyme disease diagnosis," they alleged.

The 31-year-old Bieber is just one of several celebs who have contracted Lyme disease; he called his experience "rough." Osbourne, 41, was diagnosed in 2004 and disclosed the disease in her memoir, There's No F***ng Secret: Letter From a Bada** B**ch. "I don’t understand how anyone could think that the life you have to live with Lyme disease is glamorous," she wrote.
