Melissa Joan Hart and fellow Sabrina the Teenage Witch cast members are bringing their anniversary reunion to the Uptown Theater in Providence on Nov. 1. The live event marks 30 years since viewers first met Sabrina, her aunts and Salem, the talking cat.

What changes from city to city is the setup, and Hart said Providence will get a Halloween-centered edition. The tour begins with a Halloween night launch in Salem, Massachusetts, and the New England dates open the 15 city run. For Providence, Hart said fans can expect costumes, candy and seasonal decor, with scenery tied to fall, including leaves and pumpkins.

The stage show is set to include skits that fans know from the series, songs from the show, behind the scenes stories and bloopers that have not been seen before. Hart, who played Sabrina Spellman, said each stop is designed to feel a little different, which gives the Providence date its own hook for fans who want more than a standard cast appearance.

The sitcom followed a young witch dealing with adolescence, family life and her growing powers. It aired first on ABC and later on The WB, making it a touchstone for many viewers who grew up with 1990s and early 2000s TV.

For anyone planning to go, Hart encouraged fans to dress up and arrive ready with their best Salem impression. Tickets for the Providence show were still available, including a VIP meet and greet option.

In short, the big update for fans in Rhode Island and across New England is that the 30th anniversary reunion is not just passing through. It is arriving as a themed live event on Nov. 1, with Providence getting one of the tour's most seasonally matched stops.
