Strangers on the internet can truly help us answer questions we didn't know we would be asking.
One Twitter post was enough to send a whole crowd of strangers into detective mode. A woman spotted a familiar-looking man in someone else’s post, and the internet immediately started trying to figure out whether the timing, the photos, and the details all lined up.
The situation got messy fast, because the original tweet disappeared, screenshots started circulating, and people began piecing together the story from tiny clues. What looked like a simple social media sighting turned into a full-blown guessing game about whether someone was being dishonest.
By the time Twitter finished weighing in, the internet had a theory, and it was not subtle.
