Avengers: Doomsday fans get fresh Chris Evans and Fantastic Four footage in World Series spot
Marvel aired new Avengers: Doomsday footage during World Series Game 1, teasing Chris Evans, Thor, Ant-Man and the Fantastic Four.
Marvel fans parsing every new frame of Avengers: Doomsday got another quick look during the World Series. A special Game 1 commercial unveiled previously unseen footage from the film, including new beats for Chris Evans' Steve Rogers and a brief Fantastic Four moment ahead of the movie's December 18, 2026 release.
The latest burst of Doomsday chatter came from a short commercial that aired during Game 1 of the World Series. Marvel Studios used the spot to add fresh footage to a campaign that had already shown Robert Downey Jr. as Victor Von Doom and Chris Evans returning as Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America.
In the clip below, one new exchange suggests Thor is bothered that Steve is still wielding Mjolnir after Endgame. Another quick joke puts Paul Rudd's Ant Man in an awkward spot when he calls Steve "Cap" while standing next to Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson, then immediately tries to fix it.

The ad also checks in with Pedro Pascal's Reed Richards, Ebon Moss Bachrach's Ben Grimm and Joseph Quinn's Johnny Storm while they are playing baseball. Reed then looks up at the sky in surprise, with the moment implying that something has interrupted the scene, though the commercial does not reveal what.
The World Series reveal is another push for one of Marvel's biggest upcoming releases. Earlier full length trailers and special look featurettes had already given viewers a broader look at Downey's Doom and Evans' return. The movie is set for theaters on December 18, 2026, and it has already topped $50 million in pre sales 100 days before release, a Marvel box office record reached months ahead of opening.
For fans, the biggest change here is simple: there is new footage to pore over right now, and it adds a few more hints about how Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson, Thor and members of the Fantastic Four fit into Doomsday's larger ensemble.
