Mexican Artist Has Given Disney Princesses A Mexican Makeover And They're Spicy
"It took me almost 2 months to complete this project 'Princesas a la Mexicana.'"
Mexican artist Aida Sofia Barba Flores has given Disney princess fan art a colorful new twist, and the results are hard to miss. Her illustrations blend familiar characters with traditional Mexican style, creating a look that feels fresh, bold, and full of personality.
Flores, who is based in Guadalajara, Mexico, works as a freelance illustrator, character designer, 2D builder, and cleanup artist. Her project, Princesas a la Mexicana, reimagines Disney princesses with Mexican dresses, different features, and a more culturally grounded look.
The collection has plenty to look at, and each piece adds another layer to the idea. Read on to see how she transformed these classic characters.
