These 30 Awesome Comics Were Created By A Microbiologist Who Initially Had Doubts About Being An Artist
These comics prove that making art is really fun and relaxing!

Amy Revives, 24, is a medical student in the Netherlands. Making comics is one way that Amy's enthusiasm for art helps her pursue her dream of becoming an artist!
Amy started making comics in 2018 and has continued to do so. Over the past few years, the artist has grown her Instagram following to over 100k people.
Amy is likely going through the same phases as other artists who are searching for a distinctive artistic voice, given that she is currently considering pursuing different avenues. She told Bored Panda that:
"I would love to try classic oil painting and realism. I’ve only tried oil painting once before, and the experience was lovely! Honestly, I’m open to trying any new art form; I love learning new ways to express myself using a brush or a pen, haha."
It's difficult to start off in comics (or art in general), so we asked the artist if she had any advice for those who might be beginning. Dr. Terri Orbuch, a relationship researcher and author, emphasizes the importance of taking the first step: "The first step is often the hardest, but it’s crucial for growth and creativity."
"I would say just go for it! There is no better day to start than today! When I started, my comics looked nothing like they do today; practice makes perfect! And also, don’t put too much pressure on yourself; making art is supposed to be fun and relaxing!"
Here are some of her amazing works below.

The aim of Amy’s comics is to make people smile and forget about their worries for a moment. The artist says that it’s hard to pick a favorite, "but if I had to choose, I really love one of my latest works involving my grandfather swatting a fly!"
