Mom Roasts Ridiculous Mom Facebook Groups
Apparently, essential oils and crystals are the secret cure-alls.
Generally, when women find out that they are pregnant, they have several reactions. Some who never planned on it are shocked and panicked, while those who can't wait to be moms are floating in pure bliss.
Finding out you're expecting is just the start of a 9-month challenge you are about to face. Not only do you have to be financially prepared to bring another human into the world, but you also need to brace yourself emotionally, mentally, and physically.
Women's bodies go through a lot of changes in those 9 months. You're literally incubating a growing tiny person, and it's about to come out of you in quite possibly the most painful way imaginable.
During the pregnancy, women arm themselves with a wealth of knowledge to prepare for what's about to happen. You need to know what food your growing baby needs and what the best parenting methods are.
In those times, women find themselves turning to the company of others who have been through the same experience. We rely on their knowledge and wisdom to guide us.
Thanks to Facebook, connecting with those women is easier than ever. You can easily join a number of "Mom Groups" that willingly help out other soon-to-be moms.
Beware, those Facebook groups are notorious for being excessive. Sometimes, they are excessive in the worst way possible, which is horrifyingly entertaining for the rest of us.
One mom, noticing the environment prevalent in these mom groups, wrote a hilarious post calling out their behavior.
Catbuds123Her post went viral thanks to its succinct summary of what those groups are like.
ryvenkrennelRead this out loud and say it isn't funny.

Pharmaceutical companies have been lying to you! Essential oils and crystals are all you need! Seriously though, consult a doctor and don't take advice from the internet.

These are the same people who study before a pregnancy test, thinking it's an exam.

Insane posts from Facebook are so entertaining that they often spark discussions among experts about the impact of social media on parenting. According to Dr. Shefali Tsabary, a renowned parenting expert, "Social media can create unrealistic expectations for parents, leading to feelings of inadequacy." You might find yourself entertained, frustrated, and genuinely worried by these posts. Dr. Harvey Karp, a pediatrician, advises, "If you're pregnant, it's best to avoid these Facebook mom groups, as they can often lead to unnecessary stress and anxiety." Better to stick to self-aware communities that foster support and understanding.
