I'm not sure if anyone else felt this way, but I derived a lot more joy than I expected from the Olympics this year. Before they started, I thought they should have just canceled them—skipped 2020 and moved them to 2024, which will hopefully be a safer time—but I am very glad they didn't.

Sure, it was weird watching the athletes compete with masks and without crowds, but it really gave a sense of unity for the world—and a hope that we will all get through this.
