South African Digital Artist Creates Outfit-Swapped Female Disney Characters
Most are dressed in their prince's outfits, but the variety is seriously awesome.
Disney characters have a way of sticking with people, and that makes reimagined fan art especially fun to see.
This time, South African digital artist MirRoriel gave familiar female Disney characters and princesses a fresh twist by swapping their outfits with the men around them. The series includes Cinderella, Ariel, Tinkerbell, Pocahontas, Snow White, Megara, Belle, and Aurora, all drawn with a different look that still keeps their personalities recognizable.
The result is playful, polished, and just unexpected enough to make you look twice. Here’s the full series.
1. Cinderella donning Prince Charming's clothes.

It really suits her well. She looks ready for adventure, just like she is in the film.
MirRoriel3. Tinkerbell in Peter Pan's outfit.
She retains her wings and pixie dust.

4. Pocahontas donning John Smith's explorer clothes.

7. For a change, the artist decided to have Belle wear Gaston's outfit.
According to the South African illustrator, her sister didn't like the fact that she used Gaston's clothes instead of the Beast's.

The Disney Princesses are the heart of the franchise.
They are typically featured as the titular characters in the films. They sing songs that stay with us for a long time, wear beautiful outfits, and celebrate womanhood, nobility, and femininity in a way that inspires us.
These characters represent all that is feminine and lovely. Their fairy-tale stories are everything young girls have ever dreamed of.
The characters are designed on bags, shirts, mugs, hats, and a whole lot of other merchandise. We dressed up as these female characters when we were kids and do the same as adults at Halloween parties.
People can't get enough of these female characters. In fact, Google's autocomplete results will give you plenty of suggestions when you search "Disney princesses as." The popularity of these characters is evident across various platforms.
DeviantArt alone has a wealth of those reimaginations made by talented artists around the world. Aside from Disney, she draws characters from other franchises as well.
She has posted artworks from The Legend of Korra, the Marvel franchise, Hunger Games, and more! Also, share this post with your friends who love Disney.
