Pirates of the Caribbean Immersive Show Adds Six Weeks and Names Its Jack Sparrow

Disney's Pirates immersive adventure has revealed its cast and extended its planned run by six weeks ahead of its 2027 launch.

Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean is heading into immersive theater with a bigger voyage than first planned. Secret Cinema has now revealed the principal cast for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Immersive Adventure and expanded the production's scheduled run before previews begin in early 2027.

What changed for the new Pirates experience

The clearest update is the length of the engagement. The production was originally planned as a 10 week run, but it has now been extended by another six weeks because of strong demand.

For fans hoping to book, that means more performances are being added ahead of the show's launch. The current schedule has previews beginning in early 2027, with the run now set to continue through early June.

The project comes from Secret Cinema, the London-based immersive theater company known for large scale experiences built around existing screen properties. Its previous productions have included Grease and Stranger Things.

Who is playing the Pirates characters

The newly announced cast places Olivier Award winner George Maguire in the role of Captain Jack Sparrow. Phil Daniels will play Captain Barbossa, Lily Blunsom will play Elizabeth Swann, Harrison Wilde will play Will Turner, and Gleanne Purcell-Brown will appear as Anamaria.

Another Olivier winner, Matt Costain, is directing the show.

Secret Cinema previously said it was creating an environment where visitors would move through large sets and interact with characters from the Pirates of the Caribbean films. The production is set to combine live performance, film clips, and live set pieces, giving Disney fans a version of Pirates that is built for participation rather than a traditional seated stage show.

That makes this one of the more unusual expansions of the franchise at a time when Pirates remains one of Disney's best known live action brands outside Marvel and Star Wars. For anyone tracking the next move for the series, the immediate answer is not a new film announcement, but a longer theatrical run and a full cast list for its upcoming immersive adventure.
