People On Twitter Are Talking About Once Popular Names That Aren't That Popular Now

I feel like the name Karen should be on here somewhere.

Some names age in a weird way, and this Twitter thread is a perfect example. What once sounded completely normal can suddenly feel like it belongs to a different generation.

In this case, one user asked people to share names they think are no longer popular, and the replies came fast. The conversation turned into a mix of nostalgia, jokes, and a surprising amount of name data.

By the end, it is hard not to wonder which names are quietly disappearing next.

This Twitter user asked the internet about the names that just aren't that popular anymore.

I think everybody, wherever they may live, at some point in their lives knew a Sarah. Definitely one of the most popular names for a certain period of time.

Yeah, those are definitely adult names, except for Jessica. I can still imagine a little girl being named Jessica.

These Twitter posts have really reminded us how many of the names that used to be popular are becoming extinct now. For a lot of these names, it's just so hard to imagine a child with that name; it's like the name is only reserved for adults now.

Imagine a little baby named Doug; it's just so odd to hear. It's strange to think that all of these people with adult names used to be kids too, like you had a playground full of Richards, Dougs, Craigs, etc.

That is a lot of names that feel permanently stuck in another era.
