Art is a tricky thing; it is so open and so personal. I'll never forget the first time I went to the Louvre in Paris, and I was... underwhelmed!

The building was so cool—incredibly grand and architectural—but at that point in my life, I just didn't appreciate art the way I do now. I walked by the Mona Lisa and wondered why it was so small.

Honestly, I barely remember anything else I saw that day; I just didn't get it yet. I know, I know... it's almost sacrilege.

It took me a lot of growing up and a lot more travel before I got my first taste of art appreciation. I was in Vatican City, in St. Peter's Basilica, and in front of me was Michelangelo's 'Pietà'.

For some reason, everything just fell into place that day. All the cogs in my head were turning at the exact same time, and as I looked at this sculpture—so detailed with veins, hair, and tiny details—it struck me: someone did this in 1499!

After that, I developed a taste for art and acquired a major love for it. That said, I definitely love street art, murals, and art that is accessible to everyone, which is why I found this series of 50 photos so incredibly funny.
