Digital Artist From Russia Loves Re-Creating Disney Princesses With Artistic, Magical Twists That Are Truly Stunning
Veronica says that she tries to "draw in all styles that exist."
Veronica Kushnareva, a student and freelance digital illustrator from Moscow, has built a following by turning familiar characters into something softer, stranger, and more magical. Working under the name Lady Sharlirin, she blends Disney princesses with fairy-tale details, glowing colors, and imaginative twists that make each piece feel fresh.
Her art often leans into fantasy worlds, and that is exactly what makes these Disney re-creations stand out. From forest guardians to underwater magic, each design gives a classic character a new look without losing the charm that made them iconic in the first place.
These princesses look like they stepped out of a dream, and the Alice in Wonderland piece adds one more surprise.
"Snow White - Fairy, The Guardian of the Forest"
"Snow White Fairy is the guardian of the forest! (Kind of like Robin Hood.) She protects all life from poachers and ensures the health of animals. She needs the bow to scare someone, but it can also kill. Snow White has two personalities: she is combat-ready as a fairy, and shy and quiet in her everyday life (hi ladybug). An introvert, she is dependent on social networks. She loves walking in the rain and picking apples."
ladyshalirin"Aurora - Fairy of Dreams"
"Aurora is the fairy of dreams and hypnosis. She really loves gardening and grows a garden of roses of various varieties. She is a somnambulist, but because of her magical abilities, bad things do not happen to her at night. She engages in amateur ballet and dance. Easygoing, gentle, and hardworking, she can lull with a flute and can also hypnotize. And yes, while she is in the image of a fairy, she sleeps."
ladyshalirin"Ariel - Fairy, Marine Biologist"
"Ariel is studying to be a fairy marine biologist! She monitors the cleanliness of all seas, oceans, streams, etc. During water tests, she finds all sorts of things and collects them! (But these are not so much rubbish as just rare seashells, stones, etc.) Almost all the time, she is in the water in her fae appearance, and her wings function as fins. She walks poorly on land, so her legs are constantly covered in abrasions and scratches. In her human guise, she uses her hair as a satchel, shoving different things in there. In her free time, she loves to study the nature of the oceans and treat injured animals."

"Fairy Cinderella"
"Cinderella is studying to become a fairy godmother. By nature, she is clean and tidy, constantly wears gloves, and may be a little squeamish. She is a dreamer and sews all her clothes by herself, truly a straight girl-needlewoman."

We always enjoy when artists add information about their redesigns and what motivated them or what bursts in their imagination as they bring these ideas into a tangible reality that can be shared with fans all over the world. Of course, Veronica doesn't always include so many details, but every piece of Disney fan art she creates is seriously gorgeous anyway!
This is similar to small moments that turn normal life into surprises.

Check out this piece inspired by Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. It stands in stark contrast to Kushnareva's other pieces but is still absolutely exquisite.
