We know it doesn't seem like the likely choice, but it's been done. Ryan Gosling is Ken.

It's easy to understand why Ryan Gosling's role as Ken would spark a discourse on the internet. Sure, he has taken on teen heartthrob roles before, but in the past few years, his roles have mostly been serious, and suddenly—bam!—we're hit with this.
It's surprising, and it will probably take a moment for the world to adjust. At least by the time it does, the movie will be released, and maybe everyone can view it, hopefully, with unbiased eyes.
