The cast of Sabrina the Teenage Witch appeared together in Providence on Sunday as part of a 15 city reunion tour tied to the show's 30th anniversary. The series premiered in 1996, and the live run began on Halloween night in Salem, Massachusetts.

Melissa Joan Hart, who played Sabrina across the show's seven season run, was joined onstage by Beth Broderick, Nate Richert, Jenna Leigh Green, Elisa Donovan, David Lascher, Caroline Rhea and Soleil Moon Frye. At the Providence show, the group revisited fan favorite comedy bits and songs from the series, alongside backstage memories and reflections on the sitcom's lasting appeal.

That appeal was visible in the crowd. Many attendees came dressed as characters from the show, turning the event into something closer to a shared throwback than a standard cast appearance. One fan at the theater said she was 9 when the show debuted and was especially drawn in by the talking cat, while also calling the witches a big part of the fun.

Why the show still matters to fans

Hart said she continues to hear from viewers who connect the series to major moments in their lives. She recalled stories from people who said the show helped them learn English, inspired a career in medicine through the character of Aunt Zelda, or offered comfort during illness, grief, bullying and the COVID period. She also said some fans later introduced the show to their own children and watched it together as a family.

That family connection came up in Providence too. One attendee said the sitcom had been her daughter's favorite and remembered it as a regular family viewing tradition. She also said the stories and morals stood out to her, and added that Jenna Leigh Green was the cast member she was most excited to see.

For fans hoping to catch the reunion live, the tour is not over yet. After the Providence stop, the next date is scheduled for Madison, Wisconsin on November 7.
