Some mash-ups just work, and Sailor Moon meeting the Avengers is one of them. Artist Jei Shepard takes two wildly different worlds and blends them into a fan art series that feels both playful and surprisingly polished.

The collection, called "We are (NOT) Soldiers," also known as "Marvel Moon," reimagines Sailor Scouts as iconic Marvel heroes, from Captain America to Iron Man. It is the kind of crossover that instantly makes you picture cosplay, Halloween, and a whole lot of fan debate.
