Blair said she had stayed quiet since Oct. 11 and felt people should hear from her directly. She said her lawyers told her not to speak about what happened that day because there is a legal matter underway, and she said she is taking that seriously.

Even with those limits, Blair said she wanted to make one thing clear. She said she has never intended to hurt or frighten anyone, and apologised to people she said she disappointed, hurt, frightened or alarmed. She also thanked those who had reached out with support, saying it had meant a great deal to both her and her son. Blair added that Scout is OK.

She said her focus now is on her health and her son.

The arrest followed a flight from LAX to New York City on Sunday, Oct. 11. According to the allegations, Blair tried to open an exit door during the flight, then punched one airline employee and hit another.

She was also accused of hitting a police officer at the airport and later a nurse at the hospital where she was taken. Blair has pleaded not guilty to two second-degree assault charges tied to the alleged incidents involving the officer and the nurse.

She was released on an $80,000 bond. Her next court date is scheduled for Jan. 19, 2027.
