This TikTok Hack Could Save You From Ever Having To Face Consequences For Arriving Late To Work

Some life-saving tips.

One thing most employers can collectively agree on is the need to impose consequences for tardiness. It’s not only employees who expect individuals to be punctual; it’s everyone, from teachers in a child’s school to those on a blind date.

However, we’ve all been late at some point in our lives. Whether due to a bad habit or circumstances beyond our control, everyone has arrived late at least once.

We can blame traffic for many people’s lack of punctuality, as it can be unpredictable. However, for some, it’s simply a matter of poor time management.

If you did a quick search, you’d find that quite a few people arrive late for work. A YouGov poll showed that one in five Americans arrives late for work at least once a week, while just under 48% never arrive late.

Another national survey indicates that nearly 30% of all Americans arrive late for work daily. Further research shows that millennials are more likely to show up late than their older colleagues.

Most employers have different ways of dealing with tardiness, including deductions in pay and issuing warnings.

Interestingly, many employees are finding ways to escape these consequences, regardless of how controversial their methods may be.

We found one such method on TikTok. Check it out below!

A Well-Thought-Out Plan

An employee named Bri shared some much-needed advice on TikTok. In the video, she explained how she arrives late to work without facing any consequences.

In her words: “When I used to show up late to work and didn’t clock in on purpose, I would wait until later in the shift to tell the manager to fix my time because I ‘forgot to clock in,’ and they would adjust it to the time I was scheduled.”
