This TikTok Hack Will Make It Easier For You To Avoid Losing Your Luggage At The Airport
Hint: AirTags.
Have you ever lost something in your life that took you a long time to get back? For example, losing your luggage at an airport after a long trip, only to find out it has gone to another country… miles and miles away from you.
Instead of enjoying a stress-free and relaxing travel experience for your summer vacation, your trip gets ruined, and your expenses might double since you don’t have any extra clothes.
The worst-case scenario would be canceling your trip and just going back home, and maybe waiting for your luggage (if airport processing takes a short time, which usually it doesn’t). What could have been the best summer getaway has turned into a lost luggage disaster!
The good thing about these times is that people are sharing tips and pieces of advice on disasters like this. One experience is enough, so travel experts are here to save (at least) your vacation travel, ensuring you won’t ever have to stress about losing anything during your travels.
A user on TikTok shared a super clever and smart hack to keep your luggage on track. TikToker allthatanddimsum saves the day!
Sounds interesting? Let’s go over this tip!
The video reached over 5.3 million views on TikTok.
TikTokEver heard of an “AirTag”? She placed and taped one on her luggage and wrote: “I am nothing without my clothes, okay?” And it’s true for a lot of people (yes, we can all relate to this), isn’t it?
AirTag, by Apple, is a tracker that can be linked to your phone using the “Find My” application. It can send information anonymously through Bluetooth to any nearby Apple devices and then notifies its original user of its whereabouts after locating itself.
You may check out the details from Apple’s website here.
Even an article in the New York Times took @allthatanddimsum’s advice and supported this travel tip. However, prior to this, there were some ineffective issues shared in this article regarding the use of AirTag.
One passenger lost her luggage at an airport. She then tried to email the bag’s location (thanks to AirTag) to the airline every day after they promised to deliver her suitcases to their hotel in Vienna.
She hasn’t received any responses.
On the other hand, airline workers encourage passengers to consider using AirTag, as it can make their job easier. They won’t know any information about the location of the bags, even if they work in baggage, but if passengers do have an AirTag, it could help cut the process (and finding) short.
Losing luggage is quite a big deal for airlines…

Surely there are other ways to place your AirTag, right? At least you know where it is…
