An account built on a single impossible idea

The creator, Javier, presents himself as a time traveller living in a future where no humans are left. On TikTok, where he has 6.6 million followers, he posts under the name @unicosobreviviente, a handle that translates as Only Survivor.

He says he is in Spain and has spent 340 days completely alone. One recent post says he has now crossed that mark after travelling through cities and still not understanding what is happening to him.

Much of the material on his account is built around the same unsettling image: public spaces that should be busy, but are not. His videos have shown deserted areas in Valencia, along with clips he says were taken in Barcelona, Madrid and Seville. Streets appear empty, buildings look untouched and parked cars remain in place, adding to the impression that life stopped without leaving obvious damage behind.

The detail viewers cannot get past

What makes the story stranger is that the basics of modern life seem to still be available. Electricity appears to be working, and Javier is still able to connect to the internet well enough to keep uploading updates.

That has become one of the biggest points of challenge from viewers trying to test his story. When asked how lights and internet could still be functioning if the world had emptied out, he said he was not sure. His explanation was that there was most likely some kind of connection between 2021 and 2027.

The account also includes visits to places usually associated with crowds. In one video, Javier walks through a museum he says is normally packed with people. Instead, the building appears intact and quiet, with nobody else visible. Another clip takes viewers past apartment blocks and a children's playground, again with no sign of human activity. In footage that seems to have been captured by a drone, he can also be seen standing by himself on a beach.

A search for answers that keeps feeding the mystery

Javier insists he is stuck in the future and trying to find a way back. He has framed the videos as proof that he is the last remaining person after an apocalypse, while also using them to ask for help.

In earlier posts, he told followers that he kept looking for signs of human life and was starting to lose hope. He also said he had managed to get something to eat and asked how long the situation could continue, urging people in the comments to point him toward anyone who might be able to help.

That mix of eerie locations, unanswered questions and constant updates is what has kept the account in front of millions. Some viewers try to debunk the claim by focusing on the practical gaps in his story. Javier, for his part, keeps returning with more footage from a world he says should be full of people, but never is.
