Disneyland Finally Set an Indiana Jones Adventure Reopening Date, and More Fall Closures Are Coming
Indiana Jones Adventure returns to Disneyland on Oct. 23, with more fall refurbishment and holiday overlay dates now on the calendar.
Disneyland visitors planning an October trip now have a firm return date for one of the park’s biggest ride closures. Indiana Jones Adventure is scheduled to reopen later this month, while several other Disneyland Resort attractions and seasonal spaces are also shifting into their next phase.
Indiana Jones Adventure, one of Disneyland Park’s signature thrill rides, closed for refurbishment on September 8. Disney had not said what work was being done during the closure, but the company has now confirmed that the attraction will reopen on October 23, 2026.
That matters most for guests visiting in late October, especially because Disney often does not post a reopening date for attractions until the work is close to finished. For fans trying to map out a park day around major headliners, the newly posted return date gives a clearer answer on whether the indoor adventure will be operating during their trip.
Disneyland Park is scheduled to be open from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM on October 23, which means guests visiting that day should have a full operating day to ride once Indiana Jones Adventure returns.
More Disneyland Resort dates to watch
Indiana Jones Adventure is not the only attraction affected by refurbishment work this fall. At Disneyland Park, Mad Tea Party also closed on September 8 and is set to reopen on October 16. The update tied to that project is a reported replacement of the lanterns above the turntable.
Another change arrives at the end of the month for "it's a small world." The attraction will close on October 30 so Disney teams can install the annual "it's a small world" Holiday overlay. Guests who want to experience the standard version before the seasonal change takes over have through October 29 to do it. The holiday version is scheduled to open on November 13.
Disney California Adventure has a seasonal swap on the calendar as well. Redwood Creek Challenge Trail will close on November 1 so Disney can remove the Villains Grove setup currently used for Oogie Boogie Bash, A Disney Halloween Party. During that closure, the resort will also prepare the area for Santa's Holiday Visit!, which is also due to open on November 13.
