"My favorite photographer is Tommy Ingberg. Despite the difference in our photography styles, his works inspire me a lot.
However, I guess the main creator of my identity as a photographer was nature. I’ve always wanted to have a memoir from my travels because these moments are so important to me.
I find it interesting to capture the views of nature, especially landscapes and macro photography. The latter is like another world hidden from our eyes.
We can see it just by using lenses. Moreover, it always amazes me how the macro realm differs from the real picture.
That’s why my favorite styles are landscapes and macro," said Olha Balandiukh.

"I also like portraits. But not typical boring ones with fake smiles and standard poses.
I prefer creative shots that are daring, abstract, and have a story behind them. Concerning portraits, I’m just an observer; however, I enjoy taking selfies of myself using different styles, makeup, hairstyles, etc.
I can experiment with myself and embody what I have in mind. That’s why it entertains me.
Sometimes I feel burned out by editing photos because generally, I have a lot of them, and it’s really hard to pick a bundle of the best shots. In addition to that, sometimes I want to make these pictures more creative, and if there are numerous pics, I must dedicate more time to them, which drives me crazy because I’m the type of person who needs to have her job done as soon as possible.
I hate to postpone my tasks. So I can stay up late at night editing my photos until I’ve finished." added Olha.

"Well, fortunately, people like my photos, so it’s extremely encouraging. I know my time wasn’t wasted.
I believe my most-liked part of the creative process is post-editing. Adjustment is an integral part of making photos better and more interesting, but it’s extremely important not to overdo a photo because the mood of a shot should remain the same.
The same atmosphere, the same meaning, the same memory. I graduated from the Lviv National Academy of Arts (Ukraine) as an interior designer and artist, so my studies helped me a lot to find the right composition, harmonize colors and lines, and find the correct perspective," said Olha.

"This knowledge honed my artistic taste and point of view. I also took photography courses.
I don’t remember how I started taking photos, but I’m 100% sure it was inspired by nature. The beauty of nature drives me to explore this wonderful world, to seize beautiful moments so I can enjoy them and share this sensation with people.
When I have photos of places I visited, they warm me inside, and I’m able to relive these moments again and again. Regarding macro photography, it’s all about exploration.
You never know what you’ll see through macro lenses. It’s so fascinating, inexplicable, and brand new," explained Olha.
