Questionable Addictions That The World Is Just Actually Okay With

At the top of the list: shopping.

The world has come a long way, and we, mere humans, have undeniably succumbed to all kinds of things that it offers, whether they are man-made or not. In other words, it has become so easy for us to fall into the depths of addiction, which comes in many forms.

Generally, addictions are perceived as negative, especially when they involve certain substances that should not be consumed in alarming amounts in the first place. For some people, it can be as simple as doomscrolling or being addicted to a particular kind of food or drink.

However, we all know that too much of anything is never good for us, especially concerning mental health. Many of us fall into these coping mechanisms and see them as normal, but in reality, we are already becoming addicted, and it is affecting our lifestyles.

Sometimes, we don't even realize that we are already becoming addicted—like the way we always stay up all night scrolling through Twitter or TikTok, even when we believe we are already tired from the day.
