We outgrew that belief a long time ago. Nevertheless, you can still occasionally hear comments about some women being too old to find a husband.
This is awful. As we've said, the best time to get married is when you are ready and want to.
Age is just a number. An unmarried woman beyond the age of 20 is frequently subjected to remarks about a "ticking clock" and being "the last to hop on the wagon" from those around her.
However, such beliefs have become obsolete, as statistics show that the average age at which a woman marries is increasing. For example, the "oldest" grooms are 35 years old in Italy, whereas the "oldest" brides are 32 years old in Ireland.
We remembered prominent women who wore their wedding gowns for the first time at a far-from-young age, demonstrating that there is no such thing as "late" when it comes to starting a family.
