It Might Come As A Surprise To You That These 12 Actors Actually Detest Working With One Another
All of these actors refused to work together
Some on-screen rivalries are just marketing, but these 12 actor pairings look like they’re fueled by real-life friction. In other words, the chemistry you see on camera can vanish the second the director calls cut.
Take Wesley Snipes and Ryan Reynolds, where set reports claimed Snipes dozed off during Blade: Trinity and left Reynolds’ stand-in to handle most of the stunt work. Or Alec Baldwin and Shia LaBeouf, whose Broadway drama in Orphans turned into line memorization complaints, a request to leave the set, and even a choice to fire LaBeouf instead. And that’s before you get to the bigger, messier rumors like Bill Murray and Lucy Liu’s reported brawl on Charlie’s Angels, or George Clooney’s 2013 Esquire rant that apparently put an end to screen time with Russell Crowe.
So yeah, this story is basically a highlight reel of “never again” energy, and it gets worse fast.
1. Wesley Snipes and Ryan Reynolds
After Blade: Trinity, Wesley Snipes appeared to never collaborate with the actor again. According to reports from the set, Snipes dozed off for most of the filming, leaving Reynolds' stand-in to handle the majority of the stunt work.

Baldwin's co-star in the Broadway production of Orphans, Shia LaBeouf, reprimanded him for not memorizing his lines. Baldwin then asked to be taken off the set.
They chose to fire LaBeouf instead.

While he has not stated the details of their disagreement, Dwayne Johnson has made it clear that the two actors, who are strikingly similar, no longer collaborate. He spoke with The Rolling Stone and explained the discrepancy as the result of "different techniques to filming."

4. Bill Murray and Lucy Liu
When they collaborated on the Charlie's Angels remake in the 2000s, rumors suggest that Bill Murray and Lucy Liu did not get along. They apparently got into a brawl that required the crew to break it up.
The rumors are further fueled by the fact that Bernie Mac replaced Murray in the follow-up, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.

5. George Clooney and Russell Crowe
"It was Crowe who provoked the altercation. He began it for no reason." To paraphrase what he wrote, “George Clooney, Harrison Ford, and Robert De Niro are sellouts."
Clooney disclosed this in a 2013 interview with Esquire. The actors haven't shared a screen together since then.

6. Kevin Smith And Bruce Willis
Live Free or Die Hard and Cop Out were two projects on which they previously collaborated. This attempt, however, did not go off without a hitch, unlike the last one.
"The unhappiest, bitterest, and meanest emo-bitch I’ve ever met at any job I’ve held is Willis," according to a disgruntled Smith. Willis made the announcement that he was "moving away" from acting because of his aphasia, and Smith later apologized for his statements.

Before you even reach the fights, Wesley Snipes and Ryan Reynolds already set the tone on Blade: Trinity, with Snipes allegedly clocking out mentally while Reynolds’ stand-in took over the action.
For another boundary battle, see how someone handled a disruptive sibling who would not move out.
Then Alec Baldwin and Shia LaBeouf escalate Orphans into a full-blown set meltdown, where Baldwin wants off the production and the decision lands on firing LaBeouf.
After that, Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel keep things vague but still confirm the break-up, calling out “different techniques to filming” and basically admitting they do not want to do this again.
By the time you get to Bill Murray and Lucy Liu on Charlie’s Angels, the rumors are no longer about awkward vibes, they’re about a brawl, a crew intervention, and Bernie Mac stepping in later.
To avoid working with other actors, some have prevented the release of sequels to their well-liked movies. As you've seen, all of these actors declined to work together.

The strangest part is how many of these “collaborations” ended with someone quietly thinking, “Yeah, I’m done.”
