My wife and I have recently divorced. I have fallen into a deep depression because she cheated.

So, my mom and my stepdad (my biological parents split) planned for me and my daughter to visit them in Arizona. I live in California, so it's not that far away.

For context, my daughter is highly allergic to cats, and my step-sister has one. So we get there, and what do we see in the window?

A CAT. My daughter (let's call her Amy; she's 8) started crying and said, "Can we go back home, please, Daddy?"

My step-sister was gone with her friends, so I left my daughter outside for a second while I put the cat in its cage. I washed my hands and went back outside to get my daughter.
