The OP, a devoted cat mom to Whiskers, finds herself in a tough spot as her partner's health condition necessitates keeping the cat out of their shared bed. Original Post
I (28F) have had my cat, Whiskers, for about 5 years now. She's adorable and I love her to bits.
She's always been a happy cat, never showing any signs of distress or anxiety. For background, about a year ago, my boyfriend (30M) moved in with me.
He's allergic to cats, so we agreed that Whiskers would no longer sleep in our bed. Although it was tough, I made her a cozy spot in the living room to sleep in at night.
However, every night, she scratches at our bedroom door and meows loudly, wanting to come in. Last night, after weeks of disrupted sleep, I decided enough was enough.
I firmly told my boyfriend that we can't have her in the bed, but he thinks I'm being too harsh. He says she's just looking for comfort and a warm spot.
I feel torn between my love for Whiskers and the need for a good night's sleep. So, AITA?

NTA. Allergies are serious, and your boyfriend's health should come first. Maybe explore other ways to make Whiskers comfortable without compromising his health.
