Austin Butler Just Made Us Fall Even More In Love With Him By Revealing His First Crush And Offering To Be Drew Barrymore's Emergency Phone Call
"Yeah, just send me a text, and I'll call."
Austin Butler just turned a normal talk-show promo into a full-blown swoon-fest, and honestly, we’re not emotionally recovering anytime soon. During his appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, he opened up about his first crush, pulled off “secret talent” bragging rights, and then offered to be Drew Barrymore’s emergency phone call for her blind date.
Here’s the scene: Barrymore is sitting there with co-star Callum Turner, grilling them about their first crushes, and Butler goes straight for the nostalgia. His first crush was Danielle Fishel’s character, Topanga, from Boy Meets World. Then Barrymore pivots to the serious stuff, like what their secret talents are, and Butler says he can make a rose out of a paper napkin, because of course he can.
But the real moment comes when Barrymore admits she’s going on a blind date, and Butler volunteers to be the “get-out-of-here” lifeline.
