This Teacher's Band-Aid Illustration For Teaching Grade-School Students About Equity Is Resonating With TikTok Users Everywhere

A simple band-aid turned into a surprisingly effective lesson about fairness in one third-grade classroom. Aimee, a 21-year-old teacher, used the everyday item to show her students why equity is not always about giving everyone the exact same thing.

In a TikTok clip, she walked her class through a series of questions about bruised elbows, bumped heads, and scratched knees, handing out band-aids along the way. The kids quickly realized something felt off, and that confusion became the point of the lesson.
