Incredible Illustrator Re-Designs The Sailor Scouts As Black Women
Wow, these are incredible.
Isaiah Stephens has a knack for turning familiar pop culture into something fresh, and this Sailor Moon project is no exception. The illustrator and animator from Lowell, Massachusetts, has built a following with fan art that reimagines beloved characters in bold new ways, from Disney favorites to '90s icons.
For this series, Stephens took inspiration from a request close to home. His little sister wanted to see the Sailor Scouts reimagined as Black women, so he brought that idea to life with a striking set of illustrations.
The results are colorful, creative, and impossible to scroll past.
