Bride Locks Herself In The Bathroom After Learning Her Fiancé Plans On Asking His Sister To Be A Groomsman At Their Wedding

Weddings may be joyous occasions for the most part, but planning them can be a pain. It can bring out the best or the worst in the soon-to-be-wed couple.

In this Reddit story, it brought out the worst for the bride, at least. The bride's name is Sarah, and she has never liked her fiancé's sister.

OP (original poster) stated that Sarah was not a fan of his close relationship with his sister, which has caused a lot of drama in their relationship. Although things have been better lately since OP proposed to Sarah a few months ago.

Recently, Sarah shared who she planned to ask to be in her bridal party for their wedding, and, of course, OP's sister was not on the list. She then asked who OP wanted to be his groomsmen.

He enumerated a few friends of his and then saved for last that he also wanted his sister to be one of them. Sarah became upset and said inviting his sister to be a groomsman isn't traditional.

Sarah complained that this would embarrass her, despite OP saying that his sister is one of the most important people in his life.

This fact upset Sarah further, and she decided to lock herself in the bathroom. She accused OP of ruining her wedding day and refused to speak to him.

Sarah has since left her jail, the locked bathroom, but she is still not talking to her fiancé.

She has enlisted most of her family members to guilt OP. They have been calling him and trying to convince him not to invite his sister to their wedding at all.

They said Sarah should be the most important woman in OP's life, not his sister. OP's future mother-in-law joined in on the fun and told OP he was making Sarah depressed, asking him how he could do this to his future wife.

OP talked to his sister about all of this, and she said it would be okay if she wasn't invited to the wedding. OP refused to do that and told his bride's family that his sister would be a part of the wedding no matter what.

His sister is lucky to have a sibling such as OP who is willing to stand up for her. They will surely lead better and happier lives now that the immature fiancé is out of the picture.
