Comic books are a very engaging medium because they provide a visual representation of the stories told. Humans are primarily visual beings.

However, we are also nostalgic beings, and these cartoons bring us back to happier times. When we were kids, everything was a toy, and every place was a playground.

Johanna Gole Cruz, also known as Tin, is a cartoon artist currently based in North Wales, UK. She has done a marvelous job of depicting those carefree childhood days.

She was a hyperactive and imaginative child who loved anime. Now, she enjoys recollecting her childhood memories, and drawing them through comics has helped her reconnect with her inner child.

“I have been leaning towards starting a creative journey since 2017, and not knowing specifically what kind of 'artventure' I wanted to delve into was frustrating. Until just over a year ago, I finally started a comic page on Instagram.

I’m not the most skillful at articulating words through speech, but I enjoy creating and telling stories through art, which is why making comics is a great medium for expressing myself.”

Tin is a registered nurse, and she was juggling two jobs before she decided to concentrate on her drawing career. A couple of her cartoons were about superpowers because the artist says that she would want her superpower to be healing ability, so she could help people.

This shows that she is a lovely person, but we already figured that out by the way she depicts her family and friends.
