15 Celebrity Couples Had This To Say About Their Prenuptial Agreements
"I was very motivated to make my own money because I signed a document specifically outlining how much I couldn't depend on my husband."
Celebrity prenups tend to spark plenty of curiosity, especially when the couples involved are famous enough to make every personal decision feel public. Behind the headlines, though, these agreements usually come down to one thing: protecting both people before the wedding even begins.
From reality stars to Hollywood power couples, these 15 pairs have all had something to say about prenups, whether they signed one, skipped one, or found themselves talking about the idea later. The details vary, but the tension is always the same, money, trust, and what happens if forever does not last.
Here is how these celebrity couples handled the conversation, and why it kept getting attention.
1. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas
The couple is defying Hollywood marriage standards by staying married to each other year after year. The actress said in an interview that signing a prenup wasn't a big deal, and she was actually relieved after it was done.
She joked that the contract has been hidden in a cabinet, hopefully never to be seen again. Catherine said if she ever has to marry someone who is much younger than her, she would also make them sign a prenup.

There is always a possibility that a relationship won't work, no matter how long the couple has been together. No one enters into a relationship hoping it will end, but it's always something that could happen.
In that case, it's always best to be prepared and realistic. There is nothing wrong with protecting your assets to safeguard your future in case Plan A, i.e., the marriage, doesn't work.
