12 Celebrities And Their Lookalike Cars, As Voted By The People Of Twitter

Nature and technology do work in mysterious ways...

We've all heard the expression that pets and their owners start to look alike after some time, but we didn't know the same applies to cars and people. You are probably wondering how a machine like a car could resemble a real, live human being, but it turns out that it is possible.

Now, we are not talking about cars and their owners, but rather some random cars and celebrities, making the whole story even more interesting. In recent months, there has been a surge of Twitter lists comparing celebrities to things like hand sanitizer and footwear.

But it's usually just one star, and the likeness is mainly due to similar-colored clothing. No one is claiming that they resemble a bottle or a shoe.

We've progressed to the next stage of comparing inanimate items to humans. @wittozern, a Twitter user, submitted two screenshots: one of an automobile and the other of a group of photos of Nick Kroll.

“Someone said Nick Kroll looks like this car; I am sick to my stomach,” they wrote. The replies that followed show that celebrities can resemble some cars.

Or is it vice versa? Who cares, just as long as it is fun.

We have chosen some of the best replies, and we know you are going to love them. Floor it and let's get going:

It's not unusual to find faces in objects since our brains have evolved to look for a face with which to communicate (I come in peace). This phenomenon is called pareidolia.

You've seen Cars, right? Those faces look like they belong on those cars.

So what if it is just a cartoon? It is awesome and totally believable.

According to a study published in Smithsonian Magazine, the front of an automobile activates our facial recognition mechanisms. We have a new best buddy that can transport us wherever, with two headlights for eyes and a grille for a mouth.

Many individuals were able to recognize the Kroll car face, and many more took advantage of the thread as an opportunity to describe what type of car they've always imagined a celebrity to have.

Jimmy Fallon is the best reply we’ve seen. The new Toyota Prius does look a lot like him.

Now, we doubt that nature took Toyota as inspiration while crafting the famous entertainer (and of course, there is the age difference; in case you are wondering, Fallon is older than the Toyota Prius).

So, it was probably the Toyota’s designers who copied Fallon’s face. Yeah, that must be it…

Although, we can’t deny that the Tesla Truck does resemble Elon Musk. Is that the ultimate form of narcissism? Building a car that looks like you?
