Right now, the live-action Ariel meet-and-greet is housed inside Walt Disney Presents in Animation Courtyard. Around October 28, 2026, that offering is expected to relocate to Echo Lake, near 50's Prime Time Cafe.
For visitors, the biggest change is simply where to go. Ariel has been tucked inside Walt Disney Presents, and many guests pass that building without realizing the meet-and-greet is there. By contrast, character lines can build quickly when people can clearly see a character from the walkway, so the new setup may change how guests approach the experience.
The move adds to a stretch of character adjustments at Hollywood Studios. The park recently introduced new interactions at Off the Page after the Magic of Disney Animation opened last month, and it has also become easier to meet the Mandalorian and Grogu at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
