For mothers, however, it’s not always such a beautiful experience. From pregnancy itself to the birthing process, there’s nothing easy about childbirth.
In fact, labor pain is one of the most severe pains known to humankind. Even though the experiences differ, some people feel a pain similar to extremely intense menstrual cramps that can become so severe that it may be difficult to speak.
Although active labor usually lasts 4 to 8 hours or more, childbirth can sometimes take over a day. So, in reality, it's no small feat.
With such excruciating pain lasting that long, it's no wonder that the maternal mortality rate in the U.S. is as high as 800 each day. However, the rewards are enormous, and millions worldwide can’t wait to have a child of their own.
The joy of having a child is so contagious that everyone around a person is usually ecstatic and emotional after a successful birth. So, it's quite unusual to imagine a father not being interested in the birth of his own baby.
One man, however, seems to have broken the internet after a video emerged of him playing Call of Duty in the hospital while his partner was in labor. Yes, you read that right!
