People Online Love The Witty Comeback Given By The Owner Of A Vegan Café To A One-Star Review Dropped By A Customer Who Didn’t Get "Ordinary" Milk

Some reviews receive no reply, but some get their comebacks delivered immediately. This is one of the latter cases.

Reviews are very common these days, as they serve as a way to inform others whether you had a good or bad experience. A good review means people are more inclined to patronize you, while a bad review might have the opposite effect.

If you like your coffee with oat milk, this negative review of Café Van Gogh, a vegetarian restaurant in Brixton, may come as a surprise. As indicated by the disappointed customer, they had to drink oat milk since the restaurant didn't have "ordinary milk" to serve them.

According to the review, the restaurant is described as vegan-friendly, but it is actually just vegan. The review also mentioned that the oat milk cappuccino they were served had a "porridge" taste to it.

The owner of the restaurant, Steve Clarke, is a 47-year-old man who oversees the daily management of the non-profit business along with the head chef and co-owner, Bonita de Silva, who chose to respond to the negative review of their restaurant. They wrote a mic-dropping reply that put the customer in their place and also won the hearts of people online.

Alongside the screenshot that Steve shared on the restaurant's Facebook page, they added a caption that said, "You can't win them all." Read everything that transpired in full as you scroll down.

The restaurant is a non-profit social venture that recruits and trains adults with learning disabilities, and according to them, they operate on kindness.

No doubt some reviews are biased because some individuals tend to look for something to use as leverage to rate a review lower, despite having a good experience or because they are actually the ones at fault but won’t admit it. Either way, people tend to research and read reviews about things they want to buy or patronize before actually going for it.

Some reviews are good, some are bad, and some are so terrible that one would wish there was a zero star to give. Nonetheless, it’s not right to want "normal milk" and head to a vegan restaurant when you know you won’t get what you want there.

Have you seen a bad review of a place that you just know isn’t true because you’ve been there before? Tell us about it in the comments.
