30+ Messages Dating App Users Received That Were So Absurd They Had To Share The Disasters With Everyone
Were dating apps like Tinder and Bumble a mistake? If so, at least we get to laugh a lot along the way.
At a time in life when our desires, needs, and wants are incredibly diverse from one person to the next, it's no surprise that "matchmaking" has expanded into user-friendly mobile apps. While some folks find their life partners through dating apps like Tinder and Bumble, others may find a great hook-up or someone to suffice for now.
The practical use of such apps can bend to the desires and goals of various users, which means there is a lot of unintentional, hilarious "content" being created every single day... and much of it comes in the form of astonishingly absurd direct messages being sent from one party to another.
By September of 2019, Tinder reported an audience reach of 7.86 million users in the United States, and as of 2020, Bumble had over 100 million users! That's a LOT of people looking for love (or whatever that might mean to them), and it's only natural that disasters would strike on a regular basis.
If you're invested in the dating pool, you might find comfort in knowing you're not the only one experiencing less-than-desirable encounters. At the very least, can't we all laugh it off?

If I could have a simple wish right now, it would be that everyone finds someone they are compatible with long-term so that we don't have to expose ourselves to these blunders much longer. Of course, if things continue at this rate, let's hope people keep dumping their DMs on Reddit for the rest of us to laugh hysterically at.
Do you have any dating app fails that are share-worthy? Don't hold back; let us know what moments are ingrained in the "SMH" department of your memory.
